Usually you drink your espresso on the move, between two things, already half into the next. NOÉ holds that moment still. Cup, spoon and the surface beneath, made as one. Not an accessory, but a small reason to actually be here.

Why the field is square

A round recess fits exactly one cup. A square field fits the ones you already own. 75 × 75 mm with a 6 mm radius gives the cup a place without dictating which cup it has to be.

Why the spoon stands up

Laid flat, a spoon slides, drips and ends up on the table. Seated upright in its dock, it stays where you left it, and it makes a sound you start to look forward to.

Why a chamfer, not a radius

A radius blurs the edge. A chamfer catches the light as a line. The difference is a fraction of a millimetre, and you see it every morning.

Most objects like this live in a cupboard. This one is 19 mm tall and finished on every face, because it was never meant to be put away.

Why anodised

Not bare metal, but something that lasts. Anodising draws out what is already in the aluminium, hardens the surface and gives it properties raw metal would never have. Nothing sits on top, so nothing can chip off. A damp cloth is enough, time takes care of the rest.

Material and finish

The colour is in the metal, not on it.

Glass beads first. Thousands of tiny impacts that give the surface an even, matte texture and take every hard reflection out of it. Then anodising, an electrochemical process that grows a hard oxide layer out of the aluminium itself and carries the colour into it. Nothing sits on top, so nothing can chip off. The tone is warm enough to stand next to ceramic, steel and stone without competing with any of them.

Story

An espresso turned into an idea that wouldn't let go.

An afternoon outside, an espresso, and a spoon with nowhere to go. In that moment the picture was just there. The spoon set into the saucer itself, the whole thing calm and complete. It would not let me go. I did not want the form only in my head, I wanted it on the table. I started drawing it the same evening.

I'm Noé Stoll. I develop products in medical technology in southern Germany, a field where a tenth of a millimetre is a decision, not a detail. Objects have followed me since I was small. Lamps, plates, forms that never let go of me. I tend to see more in things than just the object.

Everything that carries the name NOÉ starts the same way. With an idea, a pencil, and the feeling that we savour far too little. We rush from one thing to the next, and the good moments slip past. Two minutes of espresso is not much. Over a lifetime it adds up, and it deserves to be truly noticed. NOÉ is my way of giving you a small reason to. Honestly meant, by someone who needs exactly that himself.

Each reservation includes the saucer and its matching polished steel spoon, precisely fitted to the integrated dock. The espresso cup shown in our imagery is for styling reference and is not included.

The recessed field measures 75 × 75 mm with a 6 mm corner radius, designed to comfortably hold most standard espresso cups. If you're unsure whether your cup fits, feel free to reach out before ordering.

No. This lets you pair the saucer with the espresso cup you already own and love. The polished steel spoon, however, is included with every saucer.

The saucer is CNC-milled from solid aluminium and finished with a glass-bead blasted, champagne-anodised surface, sealed against wear and water, designed to age slowly and keep its calm tone. The included spoon is polished stainless steel.

Solo Saucer: 110 × 110 × 19 mm, approx. 592 g. Duo Saucer: 220 × 110 × 19 mm, approx. 1190 g.

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh detergents and dishwashers. The anodised surface is durable but should be treated gently to preserve its finish long-term.

Designed in Nagold, southern Germany. The parts are milled and champagne-anodised by specialist German suppliers; the final production partner is confirmed to reservation members first.

The first edition is made once reservations confirm the run. No fixed date is promised until it's certain. When it is, the reservation list hears the timeline and the release before anyone else, in order of signup.
